HERO (2001)

Takuya Kimura [Kohei Kuryu | 久利生 公平] x Takako Matsu [Maiko Amamiya | 雨宮 舞子]

*PERSONAL NOTES*— I’ve always love Japanese dorama ever since I was in elementary school..so..perhaps since around 1997. I remember how much I anticipate to watch each episode and the trouble I had to go through to record the song theme in my cassette, as we didn’t have such things like internet at home before. HERO was indeed one of my most favourite dorama aside of Dekichatta Kekkon, With Love, Omiai Kekkon, Ice World, Long Vacation, Love Generation, Love Revolution and many more. And with the airing of brand new HERO 2, starring Takuya Kimura and Keiko Kitagawa, I suddenly have this urge to re-watch HERO (2001).. and I found myself to love it the same way I used to or perhaps even more hahaha..I used to look forward every episode of HERO as I love to see the chemistry shared between Takuya and Takako-san. Their platonic and subtle romance was really addictive and made me feel frustrated sometimes lol.. In the movie (2007), however, their relationship finally progressed to another level…Though I love Keiko Kitagawa as an actress, I won’t be able to experience the same excitement that I used to feel when I watched the first season of HERO..Even if it’s not in HERO, I still wish to see a reunion of my favourite on-screen couple, Taku and Matsu, in another drama…haha, sorry for such a long rants and another cute thing that I realized while watching HERO 2001, was the video resolution, of which unlike today’s drama, they are almost square (around 700 x 500 px), reminded me of old TV with square screen kekeke

And for those who might be interested, this drama is highly recommended by me..hehe.. and as additional notes, which might entice you to watch it..here is something I found in wiki..

"Hero achieved the highest Japanese TV drama ratings record in 25 years (average audience share over the entire series = 34.3%).”

I’m desperately trying to find the mp3 for this song..I just can’t find it anywhere despite of knowing the artist’s name and the title itself.. If anyone happened to find it, please be awesomely generous to send the link to me ^^ It’s a soundtrack from “In Your Eyes” (2014) movie starring Michael Stahl-David and Zoe Kazan..

This song is played during the scene when Dylan and Rebecca had their very first metaphysical, intimate moments..well, hard for me to define it, but that’s where all those paranormal love things going on..watch it and you’ll learn how they actually fall in love without being together in physical..as a matter of fact, thousand miles away from each other…

anyway it’s another movie recommendation from me..just some light romance, nothing too heavy or deep, with little bit touch of fantasy but fairly enjoyable to watch..oh and it’s written by Joss Whedon, if that’s gonna catch your attention..

Anonymous: Could you recommend any good yaoi manga? hardcore or mild ^-^

Most of my recommendations can be found here (might have mixed with some dramas, anime & shoujo recommendation but mostly are yaoi). But to be precise, I love all works by Hidaka Shoko, Kyuugou, Yamane Ayano, Nekota Yonezou, Sakuraga Mei, Junko and Natsume Isaku. As for something with different, unique, erotically weird and yet addictive, I recommend yaoi works by Nakamura Asumiko. Works with sexy messiness and extreme wetness sex scenes, then Psyche Delico’s works are among my fave.

Shin Ha Kyun in Welcome to Dongmakgol (2005)

What if the inevitable, destined-enemies, North and South Korean soldiers, were to meet in a village where the people did not even know about the existence of war or even recognize what army weapons were? Despite of different backgrounds and idealism, these people were undoubtedly shared one similarity, and that was ‘a heart that willing to protect the innocent people that important to them’. With a mere one similar belief to fight for, even the strongest enemies can turn into the greatest comrades. Welcome to Dongmakgol might be an ‘untold' story of South-North Korean allied force.

kuroi’s kmovie a must watch:

Randomly, wanna share with you guys yaoi recommendations by fujoshi-anonymous. I gotta salute her hard works. For each manga recommended, she accompanied it with resourceful short summary.

kuroi’s recommendation:

The story was about a boy, Agatsuma, who gained supernatural power of being able to see the number of lies that appear on top of everyone’s head, after he was involved in an incident. Due to his power, he was unable to trust anybody else, until he met Misono, who had an unbelievable number of count — a perfect ‘zero’. Misono was a straightforward, honest guy who was always blunt in commenting something. Because of that attitude of his, nobody wants to hang out with him. Agatsuma, on the other hand, fell in love with Misono's honesty.

A highly recommended-romantic comedy, boys love manga. Read it online here.
In this small town, within the 49 days after a person dies, you can still see the dead's spirit.

Hana no Saku Koro - Hayakawa Nojiko

Summary: By chance of fate, Godai met Mr. Yasuda, a rather pretty man, on his first delivery assignment up at Yamanoue Research Facility who greeted poor Godai with a beaming smile. Then the next day, was Mr. Aihara’s turn to receive parcels too. Only… he looks just like Mr. Yasuda. What the hell’s going on?! Never having anybody treat him so kindly before, Godai’s determined to get right down to the bottom of this!

It’s so cute! I think you guys should really read this one! :)
lol-dope: Hi, anime recs please? Preferably one with many hot guys but isn't reverse harem. xx

Project K (I guess this one is pretty common), Hakkenden Touhou Hakken Ibun (so many eye candies *_*), Yuyu Hakusho (even the enemies are good looking for me at least), Gintama (most of the guys are pretty decent looking but yup, most of them are just beyond normal) and Saiyuki (smexy badass)…other than that I can’t really remember..

If any of my friends and followers have some recommendation, please do share ^^

more recommendations:

Nabari no Ou (how can I forgot this one!, unacceptable!)
Kyou kara Mao (the plot and characters are quite fun)
Pandora Hearts
Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Shounen Onmyouji (watched this a while ago, the ending is such a tearjerker)
Zombie Loan
Samurai X
Special A (though inclined to reverse harem)

Usually, I posted manga recommendations. But this time, it’ll be a bit different, since I wanna recommend a Korean movie that I watched recently. When I watched this, I was really absorbed into their love story; the way they met — it was abrupt, simple, without any flowery or sparkling effect in it, but that’s just how real life is, how the main characters learn to accept their flaws and fill each others’ shortcomings with everything they had, the coincidences and fate that had already entangled between these two long before they met, how the male lead willing to sacrifice his own life for the sake of the woman he loves and how the female lead fall in love with someone she had never seen and yet she recognized his kindness and warmth by merely hearing his voice.

Sounds a bit cliche if I had to describe them in words but a watch might give you a deeper and different emotional perspective ^^
